CPDA 2018 Regulatory Policy Conference
The CPDA 2018 Regulatory Policy Conference will be held on March 13 at the Hyatt Regency Hotel in Crystal City, VA. This conference provides CPDA members and non-members alike a valuable opportunity to gather to discuss key developments and regulatory challenges, unique to the agrotechnology industry, that must be addressed for companies to stay competitive and operate successfully in the global marketplace.
Participants will receive insights from regulatory agency officials on addressing the requirements specific to manufacturers, formulators, distributors, and suppliers of adjuvants and inert ingredients. The day-long event will also include a visit with the Environmental Protection Agency, Office of Pesticide Programs staff, to share information and ask questions about an array of important pesticide related regulatory issues.
The 2018 Regulatory Conference will take place at the Hyatt Regency Hotel in Crystal City, VA. Capacity is limited. Registration, which is on a first-come first served basis, will be required to attend the conference and EPA meeting. Please register as soon as possible.
The program which starts at 8:30 am on March 13 will include presentations by representatives from the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA), and the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA), as well as industry, on key issues including:
- The Regulatory Outlook for 2018
- EPA’s Office of Pesticide Programs Priorities and Initiatives
- Updates to OSHA’s Hazard Communication Standard
- The Impact of the Mergers and Acquisitions in Agricultural Markets
- Developments with the Pesticide Registration Improvement Act Legislation
- Implications of California’s Proposition 65 “How to Warn” Rules

The afternoon meeting at the EPA Office of Pesticide Programs* with key staff will provide the opportunity for a focused discussion on selected topics including:
- Registration Review/Endangered Species Act Consultations and Risk Assessments, Mitigation, and Buffer Zones
- Pesticide inert ingredient activities and ‘Commodity Inerts’
- EPA’s proposed use of GHS language on pesticide labels
- EPA’s Voluntary Drift Reduction Technology Program

Conference registration will include lunch, an opportunity to network with industry counterparts and to establish new business contacts.
