Dr. Seth Meyer, USDA Chief Economist
Dr. Seth Meyer was appointed USDA’s Chief Economist in January of 2020, returning to USDA after two years. Prior to his return, Seth was a Research Professor and the Associate Director for the Food and Agricultural Policy Research Institute (FAPRI) at the University of Missouri. FAPRI is well known for its agricultural policy and market analysis, being called on by Congress and the USDA for its insight into commodity production, price, farm income and trade impacts from various agricultural policies including Farm Bill proposals, trade agreements and disruptions, and crop insurance.
Attorney General Alan Wilson
Attorney General Alan Wilson was elected South Carolina’s 51st Attorney General on November 2, 2010, re-elected to a second term on November 4, 2014, and re-elected to a third term on November 6, 2018. Attorney General Alan Wilson has joined forces with 11 other states regarding the implications of the new rules implied for “Social Cost” on greenhouse gas emissions in determining federal regulations, and the impact the new rules covering manufacturing and farming will have on the economy.
Captain Geno F. Paluso, USN
CAPT Eugene “Geno” Paluso was born and raised in Washington, Pa and attended The Citadel in Charleston S.C where he earned a Bachelor of Arts in Mathematics in 1989. He previously served as a U.S. Navy SEAL officer on active duty, serving for over 25 years before taking his current position. He retired from the Navy in July 2014 and is currently the Commandant of Cadets at The Citadel in Charleston, S.C. Captain Geno F. Paluso will discuss Leadership During Challenging Times.
