ICIS World Surfactants Conference to feature CPDA session on agricultural surfactants

The 16th ICIS World Surfactants Conference returns to Jersey City, United States from May 6-7, 2026.

The conference will bring together senior leaders and experts from across the global surfactants value chain to address key challenges, including sustainability, feedstock resilience, innovation, and evolving regulatory and consumer expectations.

Greg Lindner, incoming Chair of the Council of Producers and Distributors of Agrotechnology, will present a session on “Emerging opportunities in agricultural surfactants” (6 May, 14:00–14:30).

As producers look beyond home and personal care, the agricultural sector is creating new pathways for growth, with rising demand for high-performance, sustainable surfactants in crop protection, soil health, and nutrient delivery. The session will explore what is driving demand, how innovation is expanding surfactant applications, and how cross-team collaboration can better meet agricultural end-user needs.

Other confirmed speakers include senior representatives from Sasol, Clariant, Unilever, Novonesis, Econic Technologies, Verbio, and Viridi. The agenda also features panels on regulatory developments, consumer perceptions of sustainability, and strategic sourcing, alongside market outlooks from ICIS analysts.

The conference will be preceded by a one-day training course (5 May 2026) led by Neil A Burns, covering surfactant markets, supply and demand fundamentals, pricing drivers, and future trends. The event takes place at The Westin Jersey City Newport, reflecting growing demand for this leading industry gathering.
