Register Today for the April 2020 CLA-RISE-CPDA Regulatory Conference

CPDA is excited to announce that for the second year in a row, the Council will be joining with CLA and RISE to co-host the 2020 Regulatory Conference scheduled for April 22-24 at the Renaissance Arlington Capital View Hotel located at 2800 South Potomac Avenue in Arlington, Virginia. The conference will feature speakers from EPA and industry who will discuss a wide range of regulatory issues of importance to adjuvant manufacturers, inert ingredient suppliers, formulators, distributors, registrants of post patent pesticides, and other members of the agrotechnology industry.

Among the many informative and educational sessions that will be featured are two breakouts of special interest to CPDA members. One of these sessions will address the challenges in the state registration process for adjuvants and soil amendments. Some states require registration of adjuvant and soil amendment products, while EPA and most other states do not. The interaction with EPA regulation of inert ingredients can be confusing. This session will address the current activities, challenges, and opportunities arising from this issue. The second breakout session you will not want to miss will focus on improving the approval of inert ingredients at the federal level. This breakout will examine opportunities for both industry and EPA to improve the process by using self-certification to develop the petition, submitting the petition through the EPA Portal, and making the review process more efficient.

The Regulatory Conference will also include a general session featuring a panel of EPA officials from all three registering divisions within the Agency (AD, BPPD, and RD) who will discuss the current and future priorities of their respective offices and related impacts on the product approval process. Titled “Navigating Advancement in Science, Complex Regulation, and Consumer Perception!”, this session will include an opportunity for Q&A with members of the audience.
