CPDA Webinar “OSHA PROPOSED RULE TO AMEND THE HAZARD COMMUNICATION STANDARD” Featured Guest Speaker: Janet Carter, Sr. Health Scientist, Directorate of Standards and Guidance, U.S. Department of Labor, OSHA CPDA welcomes featured guest speaker Janet Carter, Sr. Health Scientist, U.S. Department of Labor, OSHA as she provides information and answers questions regarding the proposed rule to update the agency’s Hazard Communication Standard (HCS 2012). OSHA is proposing to modify the HCS (§ 1910.1200) to maintain conformity with the United Nations Globally Harmonized System of Classification and Labeling of Chemicals (GHS) (revision 7), align certain provisions with Canada and other U.S. agencies, and address issues that have developed since implementation of the 2012 standard. With an upcoming comment period deadline of April 19th, Janet Carter will highlight on the areas that impact our industry, including Hazard Classification, Labels, and Safety Data Sheets.
